Sekumpul Waterfall

Bali’s Most Spectacular Waterfall.

Often called the most beautiful waterfall in Bali, Sekumpul Waterfall, is a majestic sight featuring multiple streams cascading down lush green cliffs. Located in the highlands of North Bali, this waterfall is a paradise for adventure lovers seeking a breathtaking natural experience.

Sekumpul means “collection” in Indonesian, which perfectly describes this waterfall as it is made up of several streams. Unlike other waterfalls that are easily accessible, Sekumpul requires a bit of trekking and river crossing, adding to its adventure appeal. This spot has become a favorite for photographers and nature enthusiasts looking for Bali’s raw beauty.

Location

Sekumpul Waterfall is situated in Sekumpul Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. It is about 2.5–3 hours from Ubud or Denpasar. The journey involves a steep descent and river crossings, so it’s more challenging than other waterfalls but worth the effort.

Best Time to Visit

Visit Sekumpul during the dry season (April to October) for safer trails and clear water. Avoid visiting in heavy rain as the rivers can become dangerous. Mornings offer the best lighting for photography and a more peaceful atmosphere.
